Stuart Kolakovic was born in the Midlands, UK – home to Black Sabbath and industrial pollution. Graduating from the Illustration course at Kingston University in 2007, his final major project, Milorad, an 80 page comic about his Serbian Grandfather, won a D&AD New Blood Award and came runner up in The Observer / Jonathan Cape, Graphic Short Story Prize. Taken from his bio: “Bio’s are a chance to make yourself look cool and hip and whatnot. But let’s cut to the chase here; I’m 26, I listen to heavy metal and I still live with my Mum. I should get a proper job but then I wouldn’t get the chance to draw stoned wizards…” View more of his work on stuartkolakovic.co.uk and http://ift.tt/1zgTeXP . :)

A man rides his horse through flames during the “Luminarias” annual religious celebration in the village of San Bartolome de los Pinares, Spain, Jan. 16, 2015. According to tradition that dates back 500 years ago, people ride their horses through the narrow cobblestone streets of this small village to purify the animals with the smoke of the bonfires.
